3 on 3 Basketball will be played on a half court with two twelve minute halves. The roster limit is 10 players. Teams must be all one gender. NCAA rules apply. Tournament for­mat will be determined by the number of entries. ENTRY IS BY TEAM ONLY. A complete team roster must be submitted by the Team Captain.

Around the World

One Practice shot from each spot (must ask for practive shots first). 3 Official shots are taken from each spot. Male competitors 50­69 will shoot from the "official A spot" markers and will use an official basketball. Female competitors 50­69 and Male competitors over 70 will shoot from the "official B spot' and have the option to use an intermediate size ball. Female competitors 70 and over will shoot from the "official C spot" markers and have the option to use an intermediate size ball. Shooter must have both feet behind or one foot on the marker until the ball touches the rim or the shot does not count. There is a 5 minute time limit to complete all shots. Tiebreaker will be consecutive shots made.

Free Throw

3 Practice shots allowed before starting (must ask for shots first). 25 Official Shots. 3 Minute time line to complete shots. Male competitors 50­69 will shoot from the standard 15' free throw line. Male competitors 70 and over will shoot from an adjusted 11' free throw line. Female com­petitors 50­59 will shoot from the standard 15' free throw line. Female competitors 60 and over will shoot from an adjusted 11' free throw line. Male competitors 70 and over and Female competitors of all ages have the option to use the intermediate size ball. Shooter's feet must stay behind the foul line until they release the ball. If either foot cross­es the line before the shot is released, the shot does not count. Tiebreaker

Tournament structure will be determined by the number of participants registered. BCA Rules apply; additional information will be given at the location before tournament begins. Age divisions include the following: 50­-59, 60-­69, 70­-79, 80­-89, and 90 and over for both men and women’s competitions. Age divi­sions may be combined but medals will be given within individual age divisions. Play will be on 8 foot tables.

Scratch scoring only. Bowlers will bowl three games in an event. You may participate in one, two, or all three events; however, you may only participate in each event once. You must have a partner to enter doubles. Fee is per bowler.

Game is played with a standard set of double six domi­noes. It is played by four people in teams of two each. The object is to be the first team to reach seven “marks” or points. Age divisions will be 50­64 and 65 and over (may be adjusted based on number of registrations). No separate men and women’s divisions.

Golf

2 Day Tournament

Scratch scoring. The facility fee includes greens fee and ⁄2 golf cart. Soft spikes, collared shirts, no jeans, no cut­offs. Check­in one hour prior to start. Shotgun start. All players will tee­off at 8:00 a.m. Players will normally be paired in a foursome comprised within their same age bracket. Same sex/age bracket requests will be considered based on cir­cumstances and may or may not be accommodated. Event is limited to the first 144 registrants. Range finders/GPS not authorized. Unauthorized use will result in disqualification. Medals awarded based on 36 hole total. Check website for tee times after October 21.

Horseshoes

All matches will be conducted in accordance with the National Horseshoe Pitching Association rules. Men 50 – 69 pitch 40 feet. Women 75+ pitch 20 feet. All others pitch 30 feet. Players must bring their own horseshoes.

Pickleball is a com­bination of table tennis, tennis, and badminton and has been enjoyed for over 20 years by people of all ages. 2 or 4 people play on a badminton­sized court, using wood paddle racquets and a plastic, polybaseball with holes. Separate men’s and women’s divisions in 5­year age brackets based on number of registrations.

Race numbers will be distributed at event check in. Athletes must check in 1 hour prior to the event. All races will be electronically timed with manual back ups. Results will be announced as soon as possible after each event has been completed. Racewalk events are not considered track events, and therefore are not counted towards limits.

Age divisions 50­-54, 55-­59, 60-­64, and 65­-69 will be scheduled Oct. 25­-26. All age divisions 70 and above will be scheduled Oct. 26­-27. You must have a partner for Doubles. Age division for dou­bles will be determined by the younger of the partners.

Scrabble Tournament

Players will draw for opponents. 2 Players per board. Games will last no longer than 50 minutes. The play con­sists of forming interlocking words, crossword fashion, on the playing board using letter tiles with various score val­ues. Each player competes for high score by using his let­ters in combinations and locations that take best advantage of letter values and premium squares on the board. Highest score in each match advances to next round. Participants are encouraged to bring their own Scrabble boards if pos­sible.

Athletes are encouraged to bring their own cues which may not exceed 6'3". Disks will be provided. Double part­ners may be of same or different gender. Standard 5 year age divisions: 50­54, 55­59, etc. The age division will be determined by the younger age of the two players. You may only play once in the Doubles competition. Tournament format (number of frames) will be based on the number of entrants.

Balls and bases furnished. Each team must pro­vide own equipment. Double first base used and a minimum of 9 players on the field. Number of teams will determine the format of play. Roster limit is 20. Team rosters, along with individual team member registration forms and fees, must be submitted prior to the entry deadline. Spelling Bee

The rules are fashioned after the National Spelling Bee. Participants are eliminated from the competition after mis­spelling one word. There is not an official study booklet for this competition. All words listed in the dictionary may be considered for this contest. The dictionary for reference is the Merriam­Webster Collegiate Dictionary, Eleventh Edition. No Separate age or gender divisions.

You may enter a maximum of seven swimming events. US Masters Swimming rules will govern this meet. Officials will DQ swimmers for infractions of the rules.

Men and womens' 5­ year age divisions. Tournament format will be based on number of entrants. You must have a part­ner to enter doubles. Each individual may play with only one doubles partner. Bring your own paddle which must conform to USATTA rules. Balls will be provided. White shirts or white jackets will not be permitted for competition.

For Doubles and Mixed Doubles you must have a partner to enter. Tournament seeding will be based upon your ranking or level of play if seeding information is submitted with your entry form. Seeding information should include previous personal results at a Senior Olympics Tennis Tournament, USTA Ranking, Sectional Ranking, etc. You may participate in all three events; however, keep in mind that singles and doubles play often carries over a day or two.

All participants will begin with the same amount of chips. Once a player’s chips are gone, one additional $10 “re­buy” will be permitted. Limits of betting will be announced at time of play. There will be NO gender or age separation for this event.

Pole-vaulters must provide their own poles. (TSGA has a limited number of javelins avail­able.) Please Note: The 50M Dash is a recreational event only. It is not a National Event. All field implements musb be checked in prior to the event.

Triathlon

Swim 300m, Cycle 10m, Run 3m Event will be combined with Try Andy's Tri. These distances are not exactly as specified in the NSGA rules but are dic­tated by the configuration of the triathlon venue. Packet pick­up must be done by 5:00 pm Oct 17. Packet pick­up is at Finish Line Sports, 13895 Southwest Freeway at Sugar Creek Blvd. , Sugar Land . All registrants must hold USA Triathlon membership. Available on­line (One day $10, Annual $39) at www.usatriathlon.org.

Two-Mile Walk

Recreational event only. Timed event. Participants walk two miles. One foot must be in contact with the ground at all times. Participants observed running or jogging will be dis­qualified. Athletes competing in the 1500M or 5000M Race Walk (at Track and Field) are not eligible to win a medal in the two-mile walk.

Accumulate points by tossing flat washers into a target 21 feet from the throw line. Separate men and women’s divisions in 5­year age brackets based on number of registrations. Event is held next to the horseshoe pits in Bear Creek Park .
